The exciting mixed-period ensemble The Colonials takes a new look at an old favorite with their innovative program, The Trout Variations. Six new variations on Schubert’s famous theme are seamlessly interwoven into the fourth movement of his Piano Quintet in A Major, courtesy of commissioned composers Brad Balliett, Lembit Beecher, Jonathan Dawe, Paul Epstein, Molly Joyce, and Gity Razaz.
