An evening of music to benefit Five Boroughs Music Festival and Brooklyn Art Song Society
5BMF and Brooklyn Art Song Society invite you to a special private house concert featuring baritone JESSE BLUMBERG and pianist MICHAEL BROFMAN in an intimate program of Lieder by Hugo Wolf. Join us for an evening of song, wine, light hors d’oeuvres, schmoozing, and more — and enjoy a sampling of Wolf’s beloved art song masterpieces, featuring poetry by Eichendorff, Goethe, Mörike, and selections from the Italian and Spanish Songbooks.
Proceeds from this event will directly benefit 5BMF and BASS’s special collaboration in spring 2019, when we join forces to present “Hugo Wolf: The Complete Mörike Lieder” featuring world renowned pianist MARTIN KATZ. Over the course of two concert presentations, Mr. Katz will lead a stellar roster of vocalists in the complete “Mörike” collection of songs by Hugo Wolf. Mr. Katz will also lead a free public masterclass featuring local student singers and pianists.
