Congregation Beth Elohim
274 Garfield Place, BROOKLYN
5BMF’s spring season continues with two presentations of the dynamic trio Ostraka, with special guest, soprano Molly Quinn! Comprised of viol virtuoso Josh Lee and master lutenists John Lenti and David Walker, Ostraka explores the rich repertoire of the Renaissance and Baroque, performing on instruments usually relegated to supporting roles (bass viol, theorbo, lute and period guitar).
On May 7th and 8th, Ostraka will perform their program Le Parnasse Français: Virtuosic music for voice, viol and lutes, featuring Jean-Phillippe Rameau’s fiery cantata L’impatience, selected Airs de cours by Pierre Guédron, and Marin Marais’ Folies d’Espagne, as well as works by Marais’ rival Antoine Forqueray.
Tickets start at $15 and are available now!
