Our 2013-2014 season kicks off with a bang: a two-day, five-concert celebration of the vocal works of Benjamin Britten, who would have turned 100 years old this year! 5BMF is thrilled to team up with The Casement Fund Song Series and Brooklyn Art Song Society to present a dazzling roster of vocalists and pianists in five unique programs of Britten’s music.

Venue Details
Founded in 1863, Brooklyn Historical Society is a nationally recognized urban history center dedicated to preserving and encouraging the study of Brooklyn’s extraordinary 400-year history. Located in Brooklyn Heights and housed in a magnificent landmark building opened in 1881, BHS is easily accessible by the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains at Borough Hall and the A, C and F at Jay St/Borough Hall. Please note, there is currently no R train service between Court St in Brooklyn and Whitehall St in Manhattan.
